The Mirage Volcano is Red Hot!

After experiencing the Bellagio Fountains, there is another free show that I think is awesome and worth trying, The Mirage Volcano. I first saw this show after I saw LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage, and I was amazed! After I saw it, it quickly became one of my favorite shows on the Las Vegas Strip. One of the reasons is that there were tons of flame and smoke and it was awesome to watch! Another reason is the amount of effort put into crafting and making the volcano. For example, they put in a wind sensor to shut to show off if it is too windy to play the show.
The volcano "erupts" once every hour, 3-5 shows a night depending on the daylight saving time and how much gas they have to power the volcano. One more feature of the show is that it has an energetic musical score composed by American drummer Mickey Hart and Indian tabla sensation Zakir Hussain with the fire synchronized to the music. One more piece of advise, make sure to get there early to pack a good spot and prepare to be warmed by the heat!
